Part VIII - Epilogue: An unknown future

Running, just running. She didn’t exactly know where she was running but she knew she had to run. She was crying, she was shocked, that all couldn’t be. She could hear still the screams of Chris and in front of her mind-eye she could see how he suffered in these last moments, she was filled with so much impressions, with anger, fear and others and she didn’t know where she had to go, she even didn’t know where she was.
She just woke up near a little cave and the only thing she knew what was happened before and this gave her the last hit in the face.
Chris was dead, she wasn’t it and she didn’t realize it until she heard his screams, for other beings all this, being and living, was only a temporary status they could die and they could be destroyed but why not she? It wasn’t fair, why she was something ‘special’?

Why she had to watch this all? She sobbed and stumbled through the buses, was this voice right? Whoever this person was, he spoke of something sleeping deep inside her, maybe a power which she could use to help the people here?
She couldn’t see anymore she was only crying, tears were filling her eyes and clouded her eyes and the she didn’t saw the little scarp and felt directly down to ground.

If she would feel pain, she was sure; she would have very much of it in this moment but she only blinked and wanted to stand up as she heard a hissing voice. She raised the head and a creature, which looked like a mix between bug and spider, stood in front of her.
It wasn’t as big as a naga but it was big enough and the big amount of saliva which were floating of it mouth made clear what she was for that creature; food. She blinked and starred down, she would be eaten again .. again she would hear this voice … again she would die … but she didn’t want to, she refused to this, she didn’t want to have the same images in front of her eyes about Chris who was now dead. Anger was growing inside her, this time she wouldn’t let her eat … no … not this time.
The monster was raising one of his long legs, like it wanted to spike Sorcha on it and the young girl closed her eyes, she couldn’t do anything against such a creature and she awaited the next end … the fear was growing, the anger too and then she felt unconscious.

There was no voice, no dream, nothing, it was only a feeling of numbness and she could feel some emotions.
Hate, unbelievable amount of hate, she could feel something, blood … it was everywhere, screams of something strange, chitin which was broken, a gurgling noise, heat which was floating through her whole body, rage, hate, anger, the uncontrolled power … it was like she was watching everything through a thick curtain and then everything became dark.

“Wake up … Sorcha … wake up …” a familiar voice, where was she? Was she dead again? Sorcha opened her eyes weakly, she felt different to the last times, she felt numb, powerless, depleted … and she looked into the face of Vivian.

“Are you okay? Say something …” she sounded a little concerned.

“Yeah, think so …” Sorcha whispered as reply. The naga was sighing a little.

“What did you do? I mean … how killed you that monster? How … could you rip out everything of such a big … creature”  Vivian asked and watched the little girl very carefully.

Killed? She … killed it? She couldn’t remember what happened, she only knew that she refused to die this time and then … something overtook the control of her body.
And again she felt how tears filled her eyes and she began to explain Vivian everything what happened, the meeting with Katrika, Crisis and Anna, the accident with Chris and this giantess and at least how she felt directly into the arms of that monster.

The naga sighed a little and stroke the trembling girl with one finger. She felt sorry for this little human, it had to be terrible to make such an experience and survive it. Sorcha didn’t stop crying, she was frightened, she needed somebody who was now there and even if Vivian didn’t feel like a babysitter she didn’t want to send the little girl away now.

“Look Sorcha, you can stay here awhile. Just recover yourself and then we’ll thinking about what we will do with you, okay? Now try to sleep a little … everything will become fine, I promise … I promise.”

Sorcha only nodded and closed her eyes exhausted and felt into a deep sleep. The last days were too much for the sensible soul of a young teenager, she would need some time to recover herself and then … yeah what then would follow was still unknown.

But somewhere other there was a being, feeling and waiting … unable to feel from it prison but able to feel and to speak … and to form and to move … the time would come. Sooner or later.
The last Part of the story-line "Border to Felarya". Hope you enjoyed the stories :)

Two days, read the whole story, four parts each. As for what I think of it:

... I really don't actually know what to say. Only two things.

1: It's good.
2: Needs lots of spell checking.

That's really all I can say. At least I enjoyed it.

Has a sequel already been written? Is there a prequel (No, of course not)? If there is then I'd like to know.
