Negav, one of the biggest and most populated human cities on Felarya. Trisha didn't like this place very much, for her own taste, Negav was wrong at a word like this and there were too many humans and too many problems, caused by them. But the city was also the best place to get some information about every single topic and the last months Trisha had visited this place very often because she was looking for somebody; a mage that was using the same kind of magic like Trisha did.
Unlike Sanix, Trisha was no real wizard, she was a wild-mage, a shamanism-like, she was using the power of the spirits of the nature. Trisha had already one teacher, a dryad, a inhabitant of Felarya but these creature couldn't teach her very much and so she had to look for another person; a wild-mage called Ruyan who should live in or close to Negav, but every time she was asking about him, nobody knew him or even heard about him.
Now Trisha wanted to ask this strange wizard Viola, maybe she would be able to help, but first she had to find out more about her and that was the reason why she was walking toward a small shop; Magnus magical herbs.

The smell of herbs and spices was floating through the air inside of the little shop and only moments after Trisha entered, she could see a man standing behind a counter. He was the same age like Sanix and he wore the typical robe of an wizard of the magical academy.

“May I can help you, Mylady?” he asked in a polite tone and Trisha had to smile. Sanix didn't like this guy but he seemed to be nice.

“Yes, maybe you can. Are you Mr Magnus?”

“Yes; I'm Magnus, the owner of this shop … why is this important?” he asked while he was still smiling.

“A friend of mine told me that you could be able to help me to find out some information about a person called Viola” Trisha didn't beat around the bush and the smile suddenly vanished from Magnus face.

“Okay, who sent you, Missy?” suddenly there was no sign of the false politeness, this seemed to be the real face of Magnus and Trisha was happy that she knew him better now.

“This isn't important … I just know that you are able to help me to learn more about this woman, or am I wrong?”

“Well … maybe. But why should I help you? Telling you facts about this wizard isn't very clever especially not if she doesn't want that anybody knows too much about her.” Magnus crossed his arms and Trisha had to sigh for a few moments, but she was prepared.

“I was pretty sure that you would say this and well ...” and with these words she put a small pocket at the counter that made a metallic noise “... these are very much coins … enough to come along for a while. I just want to know more about this wizard because I have to find her.”

Now Magnus was staring at the pocket and Trisha could read in his eyes that it became harder with every moment to resist. Finally he stretched out a hand and nodded.

“Okay Missy, I'll answer you some questions … but I don't know very much about her.”

Trisha nodded too. “Better than nothing. Okay first; is this woman a human? I mean she looks human-like but my friend told me that she didn't seem to become older. So what's her secret?”

Magnus smiled thin. “Of course you ask this first … and well I can definitely tell you; she is no human. But I can't tell you what race she is. She never spoke about this topic and there are just speculations about this.
Some people say she's a daemon, some say she's a fairy that hides her wings and other say she's a cloned super bitch …. to make it short; nobody knows truth.”

“Okay … and why is she here in Felarya?” Trisha asked with a patience tone.

“For some reasons, Felarya is one of the worlds she is visiting very often. Most of the time she is looking for some artifacts or to learn more about some creatures that are living here.
She is really interested in the single predators who are living here on Felarya. I don't understand why because she could kill most of them without any problem.”

“And is she always alone?”

“Ohhh yes. If I can tell you one thing I know about Viola, then that she has no friends. She's the loner in personality. I've met her many times before but I never saw anybody at her side. Viola never said something but you could see it in her expression; every time somebody was asking her about her friends, she became sad first and then angry.
Nobody asked twice after these moments and so I didn't again. Listen Missy, you really seem to be curious about her so I make you an offer because you gave me all these coins … I've got something that could help you.” and with these words he vanished in a room behind the counter for a few moments before he came back with an orb inside his hand that he was laying down at the counter.

“What's this?” Trisha asked.

“It's an oracle-eye … an orb that only works one time in your life. If you think about a topic, like Viola, the orb will show you something that is connected with your question about this person. I used it before for … well other reasons … but you could learn more about her. I would grant you a view BUT, only for a information about Viola.”

Trisha blinked and bit at her lips. If she could she would use this orb to find this wild-mage! But she had no choice; this was maybe the only chance to learn more about this woman and so she nodded. “How can I use it?”

“Just look inside ...” he explained and Trisha did so … and then she felt lost inside the deep of the orb.

She was standing on a plateau, far far in the sky. The clouds were below her and it was cold but in the same moment she realized that this wasn't real. In front of her, there were two persons.
A young woman was standing with her back to Trisha … it was Viola. In front of the wizard was a young man kneeing and holding his chest. He looked extremely weak and pale and his whole body was trembling while he fought against the unconsciousness while he was speaking to Viola.

“You've won … you've finally made it … but for what?” he asked, his voice wasn't more than a whisper.

“For what  … you really ask me for what? Centuries of fighting and now I've reached eternity! I will walk through the time without the fear of dying … without a threat like you. This war was long, but in the end I was the winner and now I'll take my prize!” Viola replied in a cold tone.

“Prize? What … kind of prize …?” the man was coughing some blood at his own feet “... what did you win? You've lost everything … you don't know your family anymore, you have no friends, you never felt love …. and you never will … is this your big prize? To walk through the worlds until the end of time?”

“Fool … unlike you I will learn every secret about this universe, I'll be able to fulfill my dreams! I don't need my family! I've sworn to fight against you and I won! In the end you will drive back to hell or wherever you belong!
I didn't started this war! You made the first step and now you are regretting it!” Viola was now shouting, her soft fists were balled to fists and Trisha could feel her anger.

“I .. was a fool … yes. I'm sorry that … couldn't let you exist beside me … that I destroyed everything … but … in the end I know one thing now: Even if I will drive to hell … one day I'll find my peace, you won't. And that's why I feel mercy for y...” but he couldn't finish his sentence.
Viola suddenly stretched out her right hand and a wall of fire was slamming against the kneeing man, his whole body began to burn, he was screaming in pain and finally he felt down without any life inside his body. Trisha stared at the corpse and she could feel that something was leaving the body of the dead man.

Viola was still standing in front of the corpse and she closed her eyes.

“Maybe I had to give up every friend, every love in my life … maybe I became too powerful to be … what I've been before I met you … but now I can't go back. I will become more and more powerful, I'll walk among the humans like I did before all this started and I'll learn every secret in this universe … and someday they will all benefit from my wisdom!” she lifted her head and stared into the far “And you will see, I'll find people who will like me again, who will love me like they did before ...you will see ...”

And with these words Viola turned to Trisha the first time and the young wild mage had to take a deep breath; it seemed like she was staring directly into Trisha's face and for a short time she was blinking, and then she whispered “But we both know that this is a lie, isn't it?” and this time her voice was sad and heavy also her expression and she walked through Trisha who felt suddenly very sick before  the whole picture began to vanish …

Then she saw many pictures running through her head very fast. Different worlds, people, faces and they all vanished slowly In front of her mind. The last picture was a small shadow standing at the border of a forest, alone and lost.

When Trisha blinked Magnus was still standing beside her and smiled thin. “Always a nice shock, huh Missy?” he asked and laughed.

“How long was I away … ?” she asked confused, the time inside this orb felt like hours.

“Exactly? Five minutes … I know it felt longer … that's normal. And let me guess; the orb showed you something interesting but didn't answered very much questions?”his voice sounded a little bored.

“Yeah .. why …?”

“Because that's normal. These kind of artifacts seems only to work 100% if you are a oracle on your own or something.
I saw people that got answered every single questions, but most of them were spiritual clerics or mages. Other, like you, just saw some pieces of the past … some important points but without any explanations. I still have to figure out how I'll be able to control it.”

“But you told me that you can use it only one time ...” Trisha replied a little confused.

“Yeah that's right and that's also the reason why I've got three of these orbs. I never used the other two because I want to learn more about the function of this artifact.
So I have to be honest; I also led you try this out because I wanted to know if you are more … well sensitive for this orb. But it seems like you aren't, too bad.”

Trisha blinked three times at Magnus, she shook her head for a short time. “Magnus … I need one last information.”

“Yeah Missy?”

“Where can I find or meet Viola?”

And Magnus sighed.

Those orbs looks really useful ^^ (when you can use them correctly =p )

(oh, and it's quite funny to read the storyline "in the wrong way" ^^ )
