A new morning on Felarya. The sun stood at the sky and shined down, the trees were cradling softly in the wind and the predators of the jungle were hunting for their morning meal. Every hunter was busy now because at this time many explorers from universes all over the world entered the world to cross it and leave it as fast as it was possible for them. The same scenario was at the giant tree on the big jungle of Felarya.
The giant wood grew high into the sky and it was the home place of three nagas, Crisis, Anna and Katrika and at least also a temporary home for a giant and her little friend. The giant was called Marya, she was nearly as big as Crisis and from the face, the skin and her body she looked like a normal human; but there was the gigantic size which made her different to normal humans. And another important difference was that humans often end in her stomach as her food.

But this morning Marya wasn’t hunting, she sat in front of the giant tree and starred into the far, watching the clouds and thought about many things. A little sigh came over her lips and she looked to a little place directly at the tree were a little body laid well covered on the ground without any movement. It was a young boy, called Flynn and he was the victim of a monster-attack, since this he wasn’t awaked but he was still recovering himself, she knew it.
A fairy, called Temi, healed him and now it was his turn to get well and all this was her failure. She couldn’t watch him very long without feeling this sadness; she didn’t understood why she felt so. Flynn was a human and humans were her favorite prey when she was hunting. But she could never imagine to hurt the little boy or even to eat him, which would be terrible.
From time to time she thought about her past but she had to concede that she didn’t know anything real about her past. There were only a few pictures of a familiar face and then she only knew that she woke up and ate something, a human … maybe her first food, but she didn’t know it.

The rest of her remembering were very confusing, nothing made really sense and then she only knew the day in which she awaked in Felarya and knew she had to search and protect Flynn and this was the highest priority. But now she failed and Flynn was in a bad status, Marya was forced to stay here and even if she liked the three nagas a lot she often felt a simple fact; she wasn’t one of them. She never felt very familiar to the three and many times she isolated herself, which Crisis and especially the curious Katrika tried to break but she chose this and after Flynn would be okay again they would leave this place and continue their journey, wherever their goal was. But at the moment there was a feeling into her body which wasn’t very nice; she felt lonely.

She wanted to speak to somebody who was like her, who understood her feelings and gave her a better mood than she had yet. But where should such a person live? And then, from one moment to the other the answer came from itself over her lips; “Elle …” the giantess which she had met in the past. She was like her, a female giantess which thought her how to hunt humans and also to survive, maybe she could help her to cheer up a little.
But where she had to search after her? This would be a difficult part of her plan to visit the other giantess but in this moment she heard a voice behind her “Still thinking too much?” and as she looked back there she saw Anna. She smiled thin and raised her shoulder.

“I want to search Elle … but I don’t know where I have to start.”

The naga watched her carefully. From time to time Marya had the thought that Anna understood her more than the other two did and this time she smiled a little back.

“Well I don’t know as much about her as Crisis does but I think you can find her in the near area, she’s often hunting and maybe you’ll have enough luck to find her. Just follow your senses Marya and you’ll find her, believe me …”

As Anna advised her, Marya went away from the giant-tree to explore the surrounding area and looking after Elle. Anna promised to keep an eye on Flynn and she trusted the naga enough to know that she wouldn’t eat the boy.
Her ways led her trough the deeper jungle but it was like she knew where she had to go, it was like her instincts told her the way. It was a part of her training which Elle gave her a few weeks ago, a training to hunt humans and other prey, how to sneak through the jungle and using her natural abilities. Since this day she was able to hunt more successfully than in the past and since this days Flynn also accepted that Marya was eating humans, even when it was a little difficult between the two.
She sighed shortly, she would clear all the trouble with him if he would recover, she didn’t want to argue against him again.

Her eyes wandered around and then she raised her head, she heard something. “No … hey … please … no … p...please!” it was a human, the soft voice came only weak to her ear but she knew there was one and she was also very sure that he was in trouble.
She began to move faster, pushed beside a few weak trees and then she arrived one of the big glades of the jungles. The sun stood high on the sky and on the grass of the glade there she sat; a beautifully giant woman, she only wore a underwear made of something like tiger or leopard fur.  Her body was very good built and her skin seemed to be very soft, her long black hair felt into her back. On one of her hand a human sat and starred into her face.

“Don’t, please … have mercy with me …”

She sighed bored. “Why I should have mercy with you? Give me a good reason … “ and she looked expectant to the human who was trembling.

He starred with big eyes into her eyes.

“Because … I’m a human … and .. you can’t eat me … that would be …” “Cruel?” she terminated his sentence and as he nodded she smiled to him. “Look my little friend, I’ve heard this argument every time and now I hear it again, what do you think I’ll do with you?”

But instead to wait his answer she raised the hand with him over her mouth, opened it and let him fell down into it. A short gulp later and he was running down her throat and she began to stroke her belly. She turned her head and looked to the intruder which stepped at the glade and as she recognized Marya she smiled.

“Well, look who’s found his way to me. Marya, how are you? …” and as she stood up and walked into her direction she examined her gently.

“Well I knew it, you’ve eaten your little friend, haven’t you?”

Marya shook her head as fast as possible. “No, no … he’s still alive … but he is injured …” she answered and Elle sighed silently.

“I see … still think you are responsible for the moving snack? But okay … I won’t ask more in this direction, it is good enough to see you again, what can I do for you?”

Marya looked a little shy to her and whispered “I only wanted to see somebody who is like me … you know …?”

She awaited that Elle would laugh but she only stroke her back and smiled. “Sit down, tell me what happened … I knew the feeling of being alone and even in Felarya there are not very much giants. And believe me; I know how good it feels to have a friend who listens to you and the feeling to have a safe harbor.”

It was strange how nice Elle was when she was alone with her friends and Marya looked with a smile on her face to her friend.

“I have friends, Crisis, Anna and Katrika … you know, but they are still different than you.  And I feel a little strange in the last days. All the time I’m looking after Flynn and I’m very concerned about his status … and during the night I … I don’t know how I should say it …”

“Maybe you say it directly?” Marya blinked to her.

“Sometimes I see pictures in my dreams. They are showing humans and sometimes I wake up I … have to look if I’m really as I was before I slept … sometimes I feel like one of them … especially when I’m thinking about Flynn.”

Elle listened to her and now she began to grin. “I think it’s normal that you feel sometimes like them, do you want to know why?” Marya nodded without any word.

“Because they are similar to us … and from time to time I think we are something same, with a little difference and do you want to know the difference between the human and us?”

“The size?” Marya asked.

Elle nodded “Yes but not only our size. Look the human are very egoistic. They think only about themselves. If you catch a human like these little man I caught before and who is now struggling in my belly, he start to beg and fight to do everything that you won’t eat him. Humans think that they are something better which stands outside of the food-chain.
They believe that they can’t be eaten because it’s wrong … but on the other hand they are killing and eating animals and other, do you think they ask those creatures if they want to die for being food? The nature created humans for being hunter and prey and for us they are the food. Many giants do as we do; they are eating them because the nature created them for us to eat.
Other of us don’t harm them but I can’t understand them … but what I want to say; we are in a little a part of the humans, we have feelings like them, we feeling hunger like them … but for the humans we are monsters.
You see the egoistic way? They won’t accept their place in the nature and that’s why they are different to us.
If there someday will come a creature which would be able to swallow me … well I have to accept it that I’m a lower part in the food-chain, but we accept this fact and this makes us the noble and wise race. That you’re feeling like them from time to time or dreaming of them is a part of your soul.”

She explained the words very gently and watched Marya carefully while she was speaking.

“I think I understand … but why I’m dreaming all the time about the same pictures when I’m dreaming? Every time I look into a familiar face of a human woman and then it hurts …”

Now Elle raised her shoulder a little. “I don’t know Marya. Maybe it is a prey of the past? Or a part of your sooner life?”

Now Marya looked into the far. “I don’t remember anything about my past … nothing. I don’t know how I grew up, I don’t know who my parents were … I only know that I’m connected with Flynn and that I have to protect him …”

Now Elle took a deep breath. “Well then you should protect him. Even if I can’t understand why you don’t gulp him down and believe me … on some day you’ll recognize that he isn’t any special, only a part of your next meal and I hope you’ll do the right thing in that moment, because a human who is controlling your emotions is … very strange and dangerous in my opinion.”

Marya watched Ellen very carefully but she only nodded. “Can … I stay the night at your side? Only one night until I’ll travel back to Flynn.”

Now Elle was smiling again and nodded. “Feel free … for this we are friends.”

And so she did, they talked a while about the different things, hunting, Crisis, Anna and other inhabitants of Felarya and for the first time since Flynn was injured she felt a little free and worriless and all the concerning about the boy was forgotten for one night.

On next morning they separated  again and Elle was continuing her hunting while Marya was going home to Flynn. She thought about her words, her explanation about the humans and her prophecy

A little short story which I wanted to finish already sooner but the exams were a little too hard to finish it fast enough.

With this story I wanted to show the feelings and emotions of Marya, her conflict with the imagination to protect a human which she would normally eat and also contains a hint to her past and her "mother" ... and why she sometimes feel mercy with her human preys.

I hope the story isnÄt too broing because there are many dialogues and less action but I wanted to show something about Marya which wasn't very explained deeply into the last stories.

I hope also I could describe Elle good enough (I have many worries that this time it isn't as good as I hoped, if this should be so, sorry ElPortero :/ )

Elle belongs to the great :iconelportero:

Crisis and Anna belongs to :iconkarbo:

Katrika belongs to :iconzoekin:

And Marya and Flynn belongs to me

I wonder how Anna got on with Flynn?
Thank you very much :)

Maybe you'll learn more about Marya and Flynn soon and how Anna got on Flynn ... well ask her :D
Thank you very much :) Your words are a blessing for me at the moment
I'll have to wait until she's in the right mood! She's not too fond of me because of the "Katherine Stories!"
This was a great story !
I can't speak for El portero but I think you got Elle and her "jungle moral" very well :D
You know, sometimes you get Elle better than I do! Her dialog about her place in the food chain is awesome, my friend!

And her frustration with people not getting their place in the food chain is definitely something that would grow in Felarya, since it reminds her so much of Dorontu, the difference being that the people of Dorontu will try and escape, but they will not beg and plead.

They ultimately understand that their path ends in the belly of this giantess, and that their final (but not only!) purpose in this life was to provide her with nourishment. It's an understanding of the circle of life, and you portray that so beautifully in her dialog.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for understanding so well this core part of her character. Your Elle stories are my favorite! :)
Oh yeah, he totally nailed it!
